Bill Gates testified about the state of education in the U.S. and its impact on the ability of Americans to compete in the global economy. In his remarks he said that overhauls of the nation’s schools and immigration laws were urgently needed to keep jobs from going overseas, challenged lawmakers to push for higher educational standards and to make more challenging coursework available to students. He also called for more resources and investment in high school math and science education. close
