Blowing Up Russia: The Secret Plot

Yuri Felshtinsky talked with Mr. Stuttaford about his book, Blowing Up Russia: The Secret Plot to Bring Back KGB Terror. He alleged that Russian president Vladimir Putin is using the Russian secret service to preserve his power and transform Russia back into an authoritarian state. He said that the secret service planned bombings and other attacks which were then blamed on Putin’s enemies, including Chechen separatists. He also said that his co-author, former KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko, was killed with radioactive poison in London in 2006 for collaborating on the book. After their conversation the author responded to audience members' questions. close
