U.S. Senator Trent Lott, Republican of Mississippi, and former U.S. Senator Tom Daschle, Democrat of South Dakota, offered lessons from their shared experience as Senate leaders on how Congressional leaders can work together. From June 1995 until January 2005, Senators Lott and Daschle served together either as Majority or Minority Leaders of the U.S. Senate. They held their conversation on a stage in the University of Mississippi’s Nutt Auditorium. They responded to questions from members of the audience of students, faculty, and members of the public. close
