Tom DeFrank talked about his book Write It When I’m Gone: Remarkable Off-the-Record Conversations with Gerald R. Ford, published by Putnam. The book is based on a series of previously off-the-record conversations that Mr. DeFrank had had with President Ford since the time he was vice president. The thirty-two year series of conversations ranges from President Ford’s recollection of the Nixon administration and Watergate to his thoughts on the presidents that followed him. Mr. DeFrank talked about writing the book and also described many of his experiences with President Ford. After his presentation the author responded to audience members' questions. close
