Democratic members of Congress held a news conference to criticize the George H.W. Bush administration’s domestic agenda. The Democratic leaders argued the Bush administration had guided its domestic agenda through the use of the “veto pen,” and the president’s vetoes had subsequently hurt large portions of the American population.
