This is the second part of a conference called, “Social Security: The Inter-Generational Compact.” Committee members focused on the treatment of Social Security trust funds in the federal budget, taxation of Social Security benefits and the anti-poverty effects of Social Security. The committee describes itself as the nation’s second largest senior lobbying group, and works to protect the entitlements on which many older Americans rely. close
