Al Hunt, executive Washington editor of the Wall Street Journal, interviewed former Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin on his memoir, In An Uncertain World: Tough Choices from Wall Street to Washington (Random House Trade Paperbacks). The book recounts Mr. Rubin’s twenty-six years with the financial services organization Goldman Sachs, his role in the passage of NAFTA, and his term as Treasury Secretary. Mr. Rubin responded to audience members' questions following the interview.

Robert Rubin is director and chairman of the executive committee of Citigroup. Mr. Rubin was director of the White House National Economic Council from 1993 to 1995, and U.S. Treasury Secretary from 1995 to 1999. close
