Obama administration officials urged Congress to move forward with proposed changes to the military commissions system, which the president has said he wants to continue to use to put alleged terrorists on trial. They also said that plans to close the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, within the president’s one-year time frame are on track.
