House Financial Services Chair Barney Frank spoke about the future of financial regulation. He said that Congress could complete a regulatory reform overhaul by the end of the year and that Democrats were committed to regulatory reform that protects consumers. He said they should use their congressional majority to ensure passage of financial rules that allow innovation but curtail abuse. Following his remarks he answered questions submitted from the audience. close
