Lisa Jackson and Larry Robinson testified at a hearing on the use of dispersants in response to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Topics included the effects dispersants have on wildlife and seafood safety, and EPA authority to ban dispersants. In her testimony Administrator Jackson said that BP has used over 1.8 million gallons of dispersants to date on the spill, a volume never used before in the United States. close
