Pentagon spokeperson Captain John Kirby and Acting Assistant Defense Secretary George Little held a press briefing with the media. They announced that Defense Secretary Leon Panetta is ordering the Air Force to accelerate installation of a backup oxygen system for the F-22 Raptor. The Defense Secretary is also limiting these flights to regions where pilots can quickly land and has requested a monthly progress report from the Air Force on the F-22 status. Air Force pilots have complained of oxygen-deficient problems with the stealth fighter. close
