Telephone lines were open for viewers to comment on the state of the U.S. economy and the “fiscal cliff,” the impending tax increases and budget cuts at the end of 2012 if Congress cannot reach a new budget agreement.

Dave Clarke, participating by phone, reviewed Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke’s previous day speech on the “fiscal cliff” to the Economic Club of New York. He also talked about the status of negotiations between President Obama and congressional leaders. close
