Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Brookings Institution’s Saban Forum in Washington, D.C., via satellite from Israel about U.S.-Israel relations.

In this portion he talked about the interim nuclear deal with Iran, saying steps should be taken to stop a “further erosion of sanctions.” He said a final agreement should terminate Iran’s military nuclear capability as well as include a change in the country’s “genocidal policy” toward Israel. He cited evidence of this policy which he said could not be dismissed as mere rhetoric. He added that he shared President Obama’s approach toward diplomacy but said for it to succeed it must be coupled with a “credible military threat”

The tenth annual Saban Forum, titled “Power Shifts: U.S.-Israel Relations in a Dynamic Middle East,” was held at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel. close
