Crisis experts talked about the implications of a Council on Foreign Relations survey outlining the potential global threats in 2014. The list ranked the Syrian civil war, increased violence in Afghanistan, and North Korea’s nuclear weapons threat as some of the top priorities for the year. One of the panelists, David Gordon, named cybersecurity as one of the growing threats and said the Edward Snowden affair put a “huge risk” on the growing relationship between the U.S. and high-tech firms. close
