John Di Stasio talked about the Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s clean energy and energy efficiency programs. He talked about how the utility used federal grants to install smart meters in homes and encourage the use of renewable energy sources. According to the utility, John Di Stasio helped SMUD maintain low electricity rates while getting more than 20 percent of its power from renewable sources and nearly 50 percent from carbon-free sources. close
