This was the 13th time the Security Council had met to address the unrest in Ukraine. Security Council members condemned the reports that pro-Russian forces shot down two Ukrainian helicopters and demanded the release of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) observers being held captive by pro-Russian forces.
