Belle Grove Plantation and the National Park Service hosted a commemorative ceremony to mark the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Cedar Creek. The battle took place in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley on October 19, 1864, and resulted in a Union victory. This program included choral music, speeches on the history of the battle and preservation efforts, as well as a wreath laying service and a cannon salute. close
