The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism held a hearing on the benefits and costs of police body camera technology. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) testified about the importance of police body cameras and community policing, addressing the April 4, 2015, fatal police shooting of Walter Scott in North Charleston, S.C. During the second panel topics included body camera policies, privacy rights of the public, and effective pilot programs around the country. close
