Telephone lines were open for viewer comments from veterans and their families only on the topic: “Transition to Civilian Life.” The telephone lines were divided among World War II and Korea vets; Vietnman vets; Iraq and Afghanistan vets; and all others. The program included a video clip of Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee Chair Johnny Isakson (R-GA) being interviewed May 21, 2015, for “Newsmakers” and of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America founder Paul Rieckhoff testifying May 20, 2015.

Live scenes of Washington, D.C., on Memorial Day were shown in the background. close
