Civic and policy leaders talked about community development efforts in distressed neighborhoods experiencing poverty, unemployment, foreclosures, and racial divides. The panelists focused on the lessons learned with the redevelopment of areas such as Baltimore’s Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood. Topics included ways to provide young people better access to education and employment.
