Tom Brokaw talked about some of the important ideas produced by members of the “Greatest Generation,” a term he coined and the title of his bestselling book. Mr. Brokaw argued that because members of the Greatest Generation lived through the depression and World War II, they were able to come up with some of the most important ides of the second half of the twentieth century. The third annual National World War II Memorial Legacy Lecture, titled “Big Ideas for Big Challenges,” was held at the National Defense University. close
