President Obama made remarks commemorating the 93rd annual National Christmas Tree at the lighting ceremony at the Ellipse. First lady Michelle Obama and Miss Piggy read “A Visit from St. Nicholas, or 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.” The president was introduced by the oldest living National Park Service ranger as the ceremony also served as a kickoff to a year of celebrating the 150th anniversary of the park service.
