Prime Minister David Cameron argued before members in the House of Commons on the case for Britain to stay in a reformed European Union. The United Kingdom was to vote on June 23, 2016, on whether to remain a member of the EU. The prime minister said the June 23 vote is a “straight democratic decision” and there would be no second negotiation. Most members expressed wanting to stay in the EU, but some had concerns over some portions of the deal. close
