Caren Merrick talked about how she overcame financial challenges, graduated from college, and started her own company. She said a lack of flexibility prevents many women from achieving their personal career goals. She urged women to become entrepreneurs and take advantage of opportunities that provide greater flexibility and freedom of choice.

Heather Higgins then recognized the Bradley Foundation for its support of the Independent Women’s Forum.

“Views of the Workplace, the Economy, and Regulations from a Female Entrepreneur” was part of the Independent Women’s Forum annual Women Lead Summit on economic policy issues that affect women in the workplace held following the April 12, 2016, release of the organization’s report, Working for Women: A Modern Agenda for Improving Women’s Lives. The day-long summit was held at the American Institute of Architects. close
