The Muslim Public Affairs Council held it’s 16th annual convention, with the theme “Building Bridges and Breaking Barriers.” At the banquet Muslim women advisers at both the White House and the New York City Mayor’s Office were given the Community Changemaker Award. Other speakers included Representative Xavier Becerra (D-CA), who had recently been designated as the next California attorney general, and the FBI’s special agent in charge of counterterrorism in Los Angeles. close
