Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered remarks at the opening of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. This address was the first time a Chinese leader spoke at this event. He talked about his country’s role in the global economy. He said the world’s problems cannot be blamed on economic globalization alone, arguing for more international cooperation and models of global governance in order to rebalance the world’s economy. President Xi was introduced by founder and executive chair Klaus Schwab. close
