Telephone lines were open for viewer calls and social media comments on the question, “Should Congress do more to protect airline passengers' rights?” The question refers to video made by a United Airlines passenger. In the footage, which went viral, another passenger was forcibly removed by airline staff when he did not comply with a request to give up his seat because the flight was overbooked.

Alabama Media Group’s Leada Gore, speaking by phone, talked about the state’s Governor Robert Bentley’s (R-AL) decision to resign. close
