Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen announced that the board would start unwinding its balance sheet in October. Chair Yellen also said that interest rates would not yet be increasing. Her comments came during a news conference following a meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee where members decide on how to proceed with monetary policy given the economic conditions. close
