The Defense Advisory Committee investigating sexual assault in the armed forces held a public meeting. In this portion a former Air Force senior airman talked about being raped and beaten by an Air Force non-commissioned officer (NCO). She described her physical and mental injuries following the assault, and the lack of help she received from her commanding officers.

The Defense Advisory Committee on Investigation, Prosecution, and Defense of Sexual Assault in the Armed Forces was created by Congress in 2016 to advise the Defense Secretary and congressional armed services committees on the investigation, prosecution and defense of allegations of sexual misconduct in the military. close
