Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to not hold a vote on tax reform until Alabama Senate election results were certified and Democratic candidate Doug Jones was sworn into the Senate. He quoted Senator McConnell from 2010 making a similar demand when then-Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) won a special election. At that time, Mr. McConnell asked the former Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to hold off on the Affordable Health Care vote. close
