The House Administration Committee met to consider guidelines for inclusion in a bill that would require each member, officer, and employee of the House of Representatives to complete a harassment-prevention training program each session of Congress. After less than 10 minutes of remarks from members who all spoke in support of the program, the committee voted to recommend the training guidelines for inclusion in the bill. After the hearing’s conclusion, Administration Committee Chair Gregg Harper (R-MS) spoke to reporters about next steps for the overall bill addressing issues of sexual harassment and workplace discrimination in Congress. close
