Katherine Westmoreland West Point Interview
Katherine Westmoreland, wife of U.S. Army General William Westmoreland, who commanded U.S. forces in Vietnam, talked about her life as a military daughter, sister and spouse. She recounted her time living in Vietnam and serving as a Red Cross nurse’s aide during the war. And she recalled hosting presidents and first ladies as well as her friendship with Bob and Dolores Hope. This interview is from The West Point Center for Oral History.
