California State of the State Address

California Governor Jerry Brown (D) delivered his final State of the State address at the state capitol in Sacramento. At the start, he praised the actions of first responders in battling the state’s wildfires. He talked about efforts to combat climate change and criticized President Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement. In addition, Governor Brown outlined his legislative priorities highlighting such issues as education investment, high-speed rail construction, heath care, and the criminal justice system. close
