Representatives from the Customs and Border Protection Office, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the Government Accountability Office (GAO) testified at a hearing on ways to protect consumers from counterfeit products. The GAO recently released a report detailing a high ratio of counterfeit goods being sold, especially online, some of which threaten the health and safety of consumers.
