Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin testified before the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee on President Trump’s fiscal year 2019 budget request for his department. Secretary Shulkin said the budget proposes $198.6 billion in spending and provides resources for such needs as VA infrastructure modernization, veterans' health care, mental health services, and suicide prevention outreach. close
