Cowgirls of the American West

The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors women who helped shape the American West. Associate Executive Director Diana Vela talked about some of the women who led this effort, including Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, sharpshooter Annie Oakley, and others.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2018 LCV Cities Tour” in Fort Worth, Texas, from April 7-13 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
