Republican members of the House and Senate met with President Trump in the White House’s Cabinet Room to discuss the ongoing separation of children from their migrant parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. President Trump said he would be signing an executive order that would change that situation, which he expected to be quickly followed by legislation from Capitol Hill. He repeated earlier blame of Democratic lawmakers for the situation, and talked about the nation’s economic performance during his administration. close
