Netroots Nation hosted its annual conference in New Orleans. On its first day, attendees heard from a range of speakers, including LaToya Cantrell, the host city’s mayor; Tom Steyer who heads NextGen America and the “Need to Impeach” campaign; and candidates running for state and federal offices. Netroots Nation calls itself “the largest annual conference for progressives” that draws grassroots activists and leaders of advocacy groups from around the country. close
