Pat Schroeder served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1973 to 1997 as a Democrat from Colorado. When elected, she was one of only fourteen congresswomen. In this interview she talked about balancing work with raising a family, her assignment to the House Armed Services Committee and her experience as one of the founding members of the Congresswomen’s Caucus. The U.S. House of Representatives Office of the Historian conducted this interview. close
