The Senate Foreign Relations Committee considered several ambassador nominees including businessman David Fischer to be the U.S. ambassador to Morocco. Mr. Fischer backed Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign and donated to Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration. Other nominees included Earl Miller to be the U.S. ambassador to Bangladesh, Daniel Rosenblum to be the U.S. ambassador to Uzbekistan, Donald Yamamoto to be the U.S. ambassador to Somalia and Kip Tom to be U.S. ambassador to the U.N.
