The Bipartisan Policy Center hosted an event on chronic illness care. Senators Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) provided keynote remarks and were lauded for their work on chronic illness reform with the CHRONIC Care Act. Medicare and Medicaid Services Secretary Seema Verma also delivered a keynote address on ways Congress could combat health care costs and improve care for Americans with chronic illnesses. Following those remarks, a panel of academics and health care professionals discussed Medicare Advantage and future bipartisan health care legislation. After the conversation, the panel answered questions from the audience. close
