Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer were two of the judges who participated in a mock trial based on The Oresteia trilogy by Aeschylus, the ancient Greek tragedian, hosted by the Shakespeare Theatre Company. Five jurists considered arguments from lawyers in a murder trial for Electra, the princess of Argos, and her brother, Orestes. Afterward, the audience voted on the arguments to declare a victor. The event was part of a series of mock trials hosted by the Shakespeare Theatre Company at Sidney Harman Hall in Washington, D.C. close
