The British House of Commons held a special Saturday session to debate and vote on the latest changes to the government’s withdrawal agreement bill for the U.K’s exit from the European Union, or “Brexit.” During this portion, Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow read the results of the vote to amend the Brexit vote, which would force the U.K. government to seek an extension to the deadline with the European Union. With a final vote of 322 to 306, the opposition to the Brexit deal won. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn made closing remarks. close
