Space agency leaders from the United States, Russia, India, Europe and Japan participated in a press conference at the International Astronautical Congress held at the Washington, D.C., Convention Center. The agency heads, including NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine and European Space Agency (ESA) Director General Johann-Dietrich Woerner, discussed how the international community is collaborating on a number of current and future space projects. They talked about long-term plans for the International Space Station as well as returning to the moon and eventually landing humans on Mars. Additionally, they discussed the role of private space exploration companies, such as SpaceX, Blue Origin, and Boeing. close
