The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee convened a hearing to examine the pros and cons of the Growing American Innovation Now (GAIN) Act. Under this bill, there would be less regulatory barriers for manufacturing plants seeking to upgrade or retrofit their facilities. The committee’s chair, Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) and several members co-sponsored the legislation.
