Governor Murphy said that while it was no time to “spike footballs,” all major indicators were going “in the right direction.” In addition, he made several announcements regarding testing, including a partnership with CVS that would provide self-swab testing at 50 locations, and a new statewide rule allowing pharmacists to administer COVID-19 tests. The governor encouraged the people of New Jersey to get tested, saying the state was “exceeding the demand by a meaningful amount.” Governor Murphy also lifted restrictions on elective and non-urgent medical procedures and said car and motorcycle dealerships as well as bike shops would be allowed to open the next morning.
