President Trump and Polish President Andrzej Duda held a joint press conference from the White House Rose Garden. They talked about U.S.-Poland relations, investments into U.S. energy, the development of 5G technology, NATO, and working towards the development of therapeutics and a vaccine for the coronavirus. When asked about the U.S. withdrawing troops from Germany and sending them to Poland, President Trump said that the U.S. would probably be pulling a considerable number of troops from Germany, down to 25,000 troops, because of Germany’s “tremendous delinquency” in regard to their financial obligation to NATO. President Duda was the first head of state to visit the White House since the the start of the coronavirus pandemic. close
