White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters at a briefing that President Trump was “the most informed person on planet Earth when to comes to the threats we face.” She was responding to questions about the president’s knowledge of reports that Russian bounties were targeting U.S. troops in Afghanistan. When asked about the president’s daily intelligence briefs, she said, “The president does read,” and criticized the New York Times for publishing a classified leak on the report. “To the anonymous sources who leak classified information, you should know this: You may seek to undermine our president, but in fact, you undermine our country’s safety and our country’s security,” the press secretary stated. close
