President-elect Biden received his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. After receiving his shot, the president-elect told reporters that he wanted accountability for those who “engaged in sedition,” among other crimes, when the U.S. Capitol was attacked by pro-Trump supporters seeking to disrupt the counting of the 2020 Electoral College votes. When asked if an impeachment trial of President Trump could delay his agenda, President-elect Biden said his priority was to get another stimulus bill passed and to help rebuild the economy. He said he was talking with congressional officials to see whether the Senate could bifurcate work on impeachment and passing his agenda, which includes confirming his Cabinet nominees. close
