President Biden gave remarks on the latest jobs numbers, claiming that his administration had created the most jobs of any first-time president in history. The president said the economy added on average 750,000 jobs per month during the first seven months of 2021--double, he said, of any prior first-time president. He also acknowledged the August 2021 jobs report was lower than expected, saying he wanted to see a “larger number.” President Biden also spoke about the Delta variant and a Texas abortion law. close
